Seeing two entries for a joint application on the Workflow is expected behaviour. Each applicant is stored separately in Smartr365 so that their individual data can be reused for future sole applications.
Why are there two cards?
In a joint application (e.g. a joint mortgage), Smartr365 creates a record for each applicant. This means you will see two cards on the Workflow page, each showing one applicant's name. This approach ensures that:
Fact-find information collected for each applicant is retained individually.
If either applicant later needs a sole mortgage or protection application, their data is already available without re-entry.
How status updates work for joint cases
When you drag one of the applicant cards to a new status column, the other applicant's card will automatically move to the same status. You do not need to move both cards separately.
How to identify joint cases
Joint applicant cards appear grouped together on the Workflow page with a visual indicator linking them. Clicking the expand arrow on either card will show the same case details.
