How to Convert a Lead into a Case
Overview
When you receive a new lead, you can convert it into an active case in Smartr365. This assigns the lead to an adviser, creates a new case with the lead's details, and optionally sends an invitation email to the client.
Getting Started
Where to find it: Go to Leads in the left-hand navigation menu, then click the Convert button on the lead you want to process.
Step-by-Step Guide
Navigate to the Leads page from the left-hand menu.
Find the lead you want to convert.
Click the Convert button on the right side of the lead.
In the "Convert to Case" dialog, select an Adviser, optionally add a Note, and set a follow-up date.
Click Assign to create the case.
Optionally send an email invitation to the client(s), or click Done to skip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I change the adviser after converting?
A: Yes. Once the case is created, you can reassign the adviser from within the case.
Q: What information carries over from the lead to the case?
A: The applicant details, mortgage/insurance amount, buyer type, employment information, and any notes are transferred.
