How to Create and Manage Tasks on a Case
Overview
You can create tasks directly on a case to track actions that need to be completed. Tasks can be general reminders or mandatory steps that must be done before the case can progress.
Getting Started
Where to find it: Open a case, then click the Tasks tab in the Notes & Tasks panel on the right-hand side.
Creating a New Task
Click Add Task at the top of the Tasks tab
Fill in: Title (required), Description, Assigned To, and Due Date (required)
Click Submit to create the task
Making a Task Mandatory (Mortgage Cases Only)
If your firm has mandatory tasks enabled: select Yes next to "Mandatory Task?", choose the Status this task must be completed at, and the task will block case progression until completed.
Task Status Indicators
Red dot - Overdue tasks
Amber dot - Tasks due today
Green dot - Tasks due in the future
Managing Tasks
Use the three-dot menu on each task card to Complete, Edit, or Remove tasks.
