How do I mark a client as Vulnerable?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You can mark a client as vulnerable from within the mortgage form on their case.

Steps to mark a client as vulnerable

  1. Open the client's case.

  2. Navigate to the Mortgage section by clicking on the mortgage product within the case.

  3. Scroll down through the mortgage form until you find the question "Is this client vulnerable?".

  4. Select Yes.

  5. A text field labelled "Vulnerability Details" will appear. Enter details about the nature of the client's vulnerability.

  6. Save the form.

What counts as vulnerable?

The FCA defines a vulnerable consumer as someone who, due to their personal circumstances, is especially susceptible to detriment, particularly when a firm is not acting with appropriate levels of care. This could include factors such as health conditions, life events, financial resilience, or capability limitations.

Note: The vulnerability question appears within the mortgage details form. If the form is in read-only mode (for example, after completion), the field may not be editable. Contact your administrator if you need to update this after the case has been completed.
