How do I capture what my client's needs are?

The top three key questions help you to understand what your client’s needs are. These questions help your Compliance Team to understand why certain types of protection were recommended.

If you answer Yes to any of the top three questions, then a box will appear below for you to enter details relating to that need. These include: who the need is for, the cover amount, the period of cover, the basis of cover and any other relevant information.

If you answer No to any of the top three questions, then you will not need to complete any fields relating to these.

How do I know what the right type of cover is for my clients based on their needs (Life, Critical Illness Cover or Income Protection)?

Based on your client’s answers to the top three questions, this will determine what types of cover you recommend to the client. The better questions you ask upfront, the better you will understand the client’s needs.

How do I capture who these needs are for?

Once you answer the top three questions, you can choose who the need is for. You can do this by clicking on + Add cover (Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection) and selecting the applicant(s). Once you click Continue, a need will be created for the selected applicant(s).

How do I add a Life Insurance need for one applicant in a joint case?

You can do this by clicking on + Add cover (Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection). Here you will be given a choice of three options: Both applicants, Applicant A or Applicant B. You can select which applicant that the need is for. Once you click Continue the applicant(s) will be added to the need.

How do I view all the Life Insurance needs I’ve created for this case?

As you create new needs for clients, these will display as tabs. To navigate between the needs and view different needs, click on the tab with the number of applicants you are expecting to see. The maximum number of tabs (needs) that can be created for this type of cover is 5.

What happens to the information I save in Demands and Needs?

The Demands and Needs section will store a live version of the user’s demands and needs. If you make any changes, this will overwrite the selections you made previously.

Once I’ve filled in Demands & Needs, how do I source for this cover?

Once you have added the client’s Demands and Needs, you can go into the protection case and 'Launch Solution Builder' where you can source for protection cover.

How do I capture what my client’s Demands and Needs are at a point in time?

You can download a copy of the FactFind including your client’s Demands and Needs by clicking on the download icon in the main FactFind section. The client’s Demands and Needs are linked to the main FactFind.

How can I revisit what my client’s needs were at a point in time, say I come back 6 months later?

The Demands and Needs section will store a live version of the user’s demands and needs. If you make any changes, this will overwrite the selections you made previously.

What do I do if my client’s needs change?

If your client’s needs change, you can update them in the Demands and Needs section. The Demands and Needs section will store a live version of the user’s demands and needs. If you make any changes, this will overwrite the selections you made previously.

How can I delete a need?

If you need to remove a need, you can delete it by clicking on the ‘x’ beside the applicant names on each tab.

What happens to the joint applicant’s demands and needs if I remove them from the case?
Can I still access them in the future?

If an applicant is removed from the case, then the need will be removed from the case and therefore the Demands and Needs section.
