How to Submit a Case to a Lender Using SmartrConnect

Overview

SmartrConnect lets you submit mortgage applications directly to supported lenders from within Smartr365. You can submit Decisions in Principle (DIPs) and Full Mortgage Applications (FMAs) without leaving the platform.

Getting Started

Where to find it: Open a mortgage case, then navigate to Case Services > SmartrConnect.

Who can access it: Users with case edit permissions. Your firm must have the relevant lender enabled in Settings.

  • NatWest (including NatWest International)

  • Halifax

  • Barclays

  • Nationwide

  • Accord Mortgages

  • Aldermore

  • Darlington Building Society

  • Leeds Building Society

  • TSB

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the mortgage case you want to submit.

  2. Navigate to Case Services > SmartrConnect.

  3. Select the lender you want to submit to from the available options.

  4. Complete any lender-specific fields that are required beyond the standard Fact Find data.

  5. Review the submission details and submit.

  6. The status of your submission will be displayed once the lender responds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is a lender not appearing in SmartrConnect?

A: The lender needs to be enabled for your firm in Settings. Ask your administrator to check the SmartrConnect configuration.

Q: My NatWest FMA submission failed with a product code error. What should I do?

A: This can happen if the product code is no longer valid with NatWest. Try re-sourcing the product through an approved platform and submitting again.
