How Do Clients Connect Through a QR Code?
Overview
When you generate marketing assets in the HomeBuyer Hub, a unique QR code is created for your business (or for a specific introducer). Your clients can scan this QR code with their phone to open the HomeBuyer app and connect directly to your brokerage.
How It Works
You generate a QR code through the HomeBuyer Hub (see our guide on How to Use the HomeBuyer Hub).
You print the QR code or include it in your digital marketing materials.
A client scans the QR code with their phone's camera.
If they have the HomeBuyer app installed, it opens directly to your brokerage. If not, they are directed to download it.
The client creates an account in the app and begins their mortgage journey.
A new lead is automatically created in your Smartr365 system, linked to your business (and to the specific introducer, if applicable).
Tips for Using QR Codes
Print QR codes at a reasonable size β at least 2cm x 2cm for reliable scanning.
Each QR code contains a unique link to your specific business. Do not reuse another brokerage's QR code.
If you create assets for an introducer, the QR code includes both your business ID and the introducer's details, so leads are attributed correctly.
You can also use the unique link (shown alongside the QR code) for digital channels like email, social media, and messaging apps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use the same QR code for different introducers?
A: No. Each introducer has a unique QR code generated from the HomeBuyer Hub. You need to generate separate assets for each introducer to ensure leads are tracked correctly.
Q: Does the QR code expire?
A: The QR code links to a Branch.io deep link, which does not expire. However, if your business details or configuration change, you may want to generate a fresh set of assets.
