How to Submit to Accord via SmartrConnect

Step-by-step guide for submitting a Decision in Principle (DIP) to Accord through SmartrConnect, including mandatory fields and setup requirements.

Overview

You can submit a Decision in Principle (DIP) to Accord directly from Smartr365 using SmartrConnect. Accord submissions go through the IRESS integration, which pre-populates your case data into the lender's system.

Before You Start

  • Feature flag: Accord must be enabled for your firm

  • Credentials: Your Accord adviser credentials must be saved in Settings > My Credentials

  • Case data: The case must have a mortgage product selected with a valid loan amount and term

Mandatory Fields

The following must be completed for each applicant before you can submit:

Fact Find Sections to Complete

  • Personal Details (both applicants if joint)

  • Address History

  • Current Employment & Income

  • Property Details

  • Mortgage Details (loan amount, term, repayment method)

How to Submit

  1. Open the case and navigate to SmartrConnect from the top toolbar

  2. Select Accord as the lender

  3. Choose DIP Pre-Pop as the application type

  4. For each applicant, confirm the income verifiability flags:

    • Commission Verifiable

    • Overtime Verifiable

    • Bonus Verifiable

  5. Accept the submission disclaimer

  6. Click Submit

After Submission

Once submitted, the application status will update automatically. Smartr365 polls for results every 8 seconds. Possible outcomes:

  • Pending β€” Application submitted, awaiting lender decision

  • Completed β€” Decision received from the lender

  • Validation Failed β€” Missing or incorrect data. Check the error details and correct your case data

  • Login Failed β€” Invalid Accord credentials. Update in Settings > My Credentials

Review the error modal for specific fields. Common issues: missing employment data, incomplete address history
