How to Submit to Barclays via SmartrConnect

Complete guide for submitting a Decision in Principle (DIP) to Barclays through SmartrConnect, including mandatory fields.

Overview

You can submit a Decision in Principle (DIP) to Barclays directly from Smartr365 using SmartrConnect. Barclays has one of the simplest submission forms — the main lender-specific field is the number of County Court Judgments (CCJs).

Before You Start

  • Feature flag: Barclays must be enabled for your firm

  • Credentials: Your Barclays adviser credentials must be saved in Settings > My Credentials

  • Case data: The case must have a mortgage product selected

How to Submit

  1. Open the case and navigate to SmartrConnect from the top toolbar

  2. Select Barclays as the lender

  3. For each applicant, enter the Number of CCJs in the last 3 years (0 if none)

  4. Click Submit

After Submission

Smartr365 polls for results automatically. Possible outcomes:

  • Pending — Awaiting lender decision

  • Completed — Decision received

  • Validation Failed — Check error details and correct your case data

  • Login Failed — Update credentials in Settings > My Credentials
