What's in a download
Every row. A table downloads every row the report returned, not just the 100 on screen.
The columns you see, in the order you see them, with the same sort.
For a chart, the figures behind it, one row per bar, slice or point.
An Excel download also has an About sheet, so the file explains itself after it's been forwarded on. It lists the report or dashboard name, how many rows there are, the filters that were applied (or None), how complete each partly filled column is, and Data to, showing how up to date the figures were. A dashboard workbook puts the About sheet first, followed by a sheet per chart.
If a download does nothing, the report may still be loading or have returned no rows. The page says No data to download yet. in that case.
If the buttons are locked
If the download buttons show a padlock, or read Download CSV — disabled, data export is switched off for your firm. Hovering shows Data export is disabled for your business. It's a firm-wide setting; ask a system administrator at your firm.
Exporting everything
Reporting downloads what a report shows. To export every case or client record from Smartr365, use Settings → Data Export instead.
