Overview
To improve Brokers experience of Smartr365 platform, we have integrated Smart Currency Exchange.
This new feature allows Brokers whose clients have mortgage deposits in non Great British pounds (GBP) to refer their client to Smart Currency Exchange to handle their currency transfer needs at the click of a button.
What is Smart Currency Exchange?
Smart Currency Exchange is a UK based property currency exchange specialist that helps clients take control and manage currency transactions needs, lock in exchange rates, and much more.
By integrating this feature into our platform, Brokers can now
use the platform to refer their clients directly to Smart Currency Exchange without leaving the platform
get reminders to refer their clients with non-GBP currency
earn commission payments for the referrals
How to use the new feature
Keynote:
This feature is available on mortgage cases with a deposit
Client Fact Find details Title, Address History must be completed
Step 1: Access the Smartr Mortgage Form Question Set
Click on Mortgages to access the mortgage form
Select a Buyer Type of First Time Buyer or Purchase
Enter a value in the Deposit field
Answer Yes to ‘Is any part of the deposit not currently in GBP (£).
Save the form
Click on Summary
The Smart Currency Exchange feature will become available on the case summary page
Step 2: Access the Integration
Click Refer on the Smart Currency Exchange tile
Enter a preferred Contact time on the modal window
Click on Refer
The client data will be sent to Smart Currency Exchange
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can I access the feature if I have populated the mortgage form using sourcing
A: Yes. The Smart Currency Exchange feature will be displayed on the mortgage case summary screen when the data populated from sourcing includes a mortgage deposit
Q: How do I register
A: Registration is done by contacting Smart Currency Exchange on 020 3953 7099.
Q: I have contacted Smart Currency Exchange and I’ve been provided with credentials. What do I do next?
A: Congratulations. Now you can enter the credentials details into the Setting Page in Smartr. Settings > Integrations > Smart Currency Exchange > Configure
Q: My firm is registered to use Smart Currency Exchange, but I get a Contact your BDM error when I try to use the service
A: This happens when your firm has not included your email in the original registration. Please contact Meyrick Green and Smart Currency Exchange on 020 3953 7099
Q: What if I forget to refer
A: We prompt you when the case status is moved to DIP. You will also see the Smart Currency Exchange feature on the case summary page which serves as a visual prompt to use the service
Q: What if I don’t want to refer
A: When you click on the ‘I do not want to refer' button, we don’t remind you to refer when you change the case status to DIP. If you change your mind, you can click on the refer button at any time on the case summary page
Q: What happens if I don’t answer the foreign exchange question
A: We won’t prompt you to use the feature when the case status hits DIP, but the feature will remain available for you to use if you need it on the case summary page where a deposit is available on the mortgage case
Q: What happens if I answer ‘No’ to the foreign exchange question
A: We won’t prompt you to use the feature when the case status hits DIP, and we won’t show the feature on the case summary page
Q: What happens if I answer ‘Skip for Now’ on the referral modal window
A: We will prompt you to use the feature when the case status hits DIP.
Q: What happens if I answer ‘I do not want to refer’ on the referral modal window
A: When you click on the ‘I do not want to refer' button, we don’t remind you to refer when you change the case hits DIP. If you change your mind, you can click on the refer button on the case summary page
Q: Can an admin assistant refer the case to Smart Currency Exchange
A: An admin assistant can not refer the case as a disclaimer is required and the commission can only be paid to the adviser
Q: Can a client self-refer?
A: Yes. Your client can self-refer using the client portal. When your client enters a deposit amount, we will ask if any part of the deposit amount is in foreign currency. If your client answers 'Yes’, then we will provide them with the form to refer themselves to Smart Currency Exchange
Q: Would I get a notification if my client self refers
A: Yes, you will get a notification to let you know your client has self-referred.
