What is Yoti?
For Advisers: Yoti allows you to securely verify a client’s identity during the onboarding process.
For Clients: Yoti lets you prove your identity digitally, without posting documents or visiting a branch.
How to use Yoti for Identity Verification
Getting Started
For Advisers [Existing Case]
Open your client’s case
Select 'Verify Identity' tab
Click on 'Send Invitation' button
Your client receives a Yoti invitation via email
For Advisers [New Case]
1. Click on +New Case button
2. Select Product, No. of Applicants and click Next
3. Complete Applicant details
4. Select 'Verify Identity with Yoti' in Client To Do List and Send Email
For Clients
1. You will receive an email to Verify your Identity
2. Click the button and follow the steps confirm identity
3. Capture your ID documents (e.g., passport, driving licence)
4. Take a selfie to scan your face
5. Submit for verification
6. Once complete, your and your adviser will be notified automatically
Troubleshooting
Clients
Ensure your ID document is valid and not expired
Take a clear photo in good lighting
If you have issues, try using the Yoti mobile app
Advisers
If the client doesn’t receive the link, check their contact details and resend
For failed verifications, review the reason provided and advise the client on next steps
