HomeBuyer App

This guide provides a clear overview of the client login and onboarding journey in the HomeBuyer app. Use it to understand what your clients will see, how they progress, and where you may need to support them.

Welcome Screen

Clients open the HomeBuyer app and are introduced to the platform.
Action: Get Started


Sign In

Clients sign in with their email address and password. This replaces the previous Magic Link email flow.


From the sign-in screen, clients can also:

  • Tap Forgot your password? to reset or set their password for the first time

  • Tap Sign up now to create a new account


Note for advisers: You do not need to re-send invitations. As long as a client has been invited at least once, they can access the platform.

New Users: Creating Your Account

Clients who are signing up for the first time tap Sign up now on the sign-in screen.

User Details

Clients enter their email address and choose a password to secure their account.

  1. Enter your Email Address and tap Send verification code

  2. Check your inbox for a 6-digit code from Smart365Prod and enter it in the Verification Code field

  3. Tap Verify code — the screen will confirm E-mail address verified

  4. Enter and confirm a New Password (must include at least 3 of: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, digit, symbol)

  5. Tap Create


Once the account is created, the client is signed in and taken through the first-login setup steps below.

Existing Users: Setting Your Password for the First Time

Clients who previously used the Magic Link login will need to set a password before they can sign in. They should tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen.

Reset Password

  1. Enter the email address your adviser sent your invitation to

  2. Tap Send verification code and check your inbox for the 6-digit code

  3. Enter the code and tap Verify code

  4. Tap Continue, then enter and confirm your New Password

  5. Tap Continue — you will be signed in automatically

First Login: Account Setup

On first login, clients are guided through two short setup steps before reaching their dashboard.

Analytics Consent

Clients are asked whether they'd like to share usage data to help improve the app.
Action: Allow analytics or No thanks

Phone Number

Clients confirm the mobile phone number their adviser provided. They can update it here if needed.
Action: Continue

HomeBuyer Dashboard Overview

Once setup is complete, clients land on their dashboard — their central hub for progressing through mortgage requirements and tracking their application.

Welcome Card

The top section displays:

  • The client's name and profile

  • A progress indicator showing how many tasks they have completed

  • A clear prompt guiding their next action, such as Set your preferences

To-Do List

The To-Do tab shows the remaining tasks your client must complete. Examples include:

  • Marketing Preferences

  • Personal Details

  • Address History

Each item opens a simple form, making it easy for clients to work through required information step by step.
Clients can also switch between To Do and Completed tasks, or tap See all to view the full list.

Applications

This section shows the client's active mortgage application, including:

  • Application type (e.g., Mortgage)

  • Applicant type (e.g., Single Applicant)

  • Broker firm name

  • Application ID

This helps clients clearly understand which application they are completing tasks for.
