Add a filter to a chart
Filters are set in the chart editor, under Filters, and apply to that chart only.
Open the chart editor (Edit chart on the chart's menu, or Create chart).
Under Filters, click + and pick a filter. Filters are grouped by area, and you can search.
Set its value. The kind of editor depends on the filter:
Pick lists, such as Workflow status or Product type — tick the values you want.
Searchable lists, such as Adviser, Lender or Introducer — start typing, then pick.
Dates — pick a date, or a date range (see below).
Click Apply.
Each filter shows as a chip with its current value, or Any if it isn't set. Click a chip to change it, or its ✕ to remove it. Clear empties a filter without removing it.
A filter that can't be combined with the rest of the chart is greyed out, with a note on hover saying what to change.
Date ranges
Most dates are offered as a range, such as Created between, Completed between or Written between. Choose a start and end date.
You can leave one end open:
Set only the start date for everything from that date onwards.
Set only the end date for everything up to that date.
The chip then reads, for example, from 2026-01-01 or up to 2026-03-31. Each date has its own ✕ if you want to clear just that end.
Created after and Created before are still available as separate filters. If a Metric chart has both, it also shows the change against the previous period of the same length, for example "vs prior 30 days".
A date range for the whole dashboard
The date picker next to the dashboard's name sets one period for every chart on it. Choose All time, This month, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months, Year to date or a Custom range.
Each chart applies the period to its own relevant date, so a completed-business chart filters on completion date and a lead chart on lead date, all from the one control. Periods like This month move with the calendar, so the dashboard always shows the current month when you open it.
Which date does a chart count by?
Each chart shows a small label saying which date it counts by, such as by completion date or by written date.
If a chart has its own date filter, the dashboard's date range leaves it alone. It shows an own date range label so you can see why it didn't change. To bring it back under the dashboard's date range, remove its date filter in the chart editor.
