See the cases behind a figure

Click a number, a bar or a row to list the cases it counts, then download them or open a case.

Any figure in Reporting can show you the cases it's made of.

Open the list

Click the figure:

  • a number on a Metric chart,

  • a bar, a slice or a point on a chart,

  • a row in a summary table (one row per adviser, lender, month and so on).

A panel titled Rows behind this figure opens. At the top it shows the chart the figure came from, the figure itself, and what was clicked, for example the adviser and month. It lists everything this card counts, under the filters it already had.

Use the list

  • Open a case — click a row. The case opens in a new tab.

  • Download — click Download CSV for the rows in the list.

  • Close — click Close to go back.

When the list is shorter than the figure

The panel shows the first set of cases. If there are more, it says There are more than this. Build the report to see them all. Add the same report to a dashboard as a table, or use a case-by-case report such as Mortgage case detail, to see every row.

If the panel says there's nothing to show, the figure counts records this report can't list, or a filter excludes them all.

Protection and home insurance reports list policies rather than cases; everything else works the same way.

In a case-by-case table

Where a table already has one row per case, clicking a row opens the case directly rather than this panel. See Work with tables.
