How to submit a case with SmartrConnect

SmartrConnect lets you submit mortgage applications directly to supported lenders from within Smartr365, using the data already in your client's Fact Find and mortgage case. Depending on the lender, you can submit Decisions in Principle (DIPs) and Full Mortgage Applications (FMAs) without leaving the platform.

Supported lenders

The lenders you can see depend on what is enabled for your firm, and can include:

  • NatWest (including NatWest International)

  • Halifax

  • Nationwide

  • Accord Mortgages

  • Darlington Building Society

  • Leeds Building Society

  • TSB

How lenders handle your submission

Depending on the lender, SmartrConnect either returns the result inside Smartr365 or pre-populates the lender's own portal. For a pre-populated submission, Smartr365 passes your Fact Find and mortgage case data to the lender's portal. You then click the link on the result page to open the portal and create the case with the lender. The link expires 3 minutes after it is generated and can be used only once. Each lender's guide below explains which applies.

How to submit a case

  1. Open the client's mortgage case and click the SmartrConnect tab in the toolbar at the top of the case. The tab is available on every page of the case.

  2. SmartrConnect shows the lenders available to your firm as a grid of lender logos. Click the logo of the lender you want to submit to.

  3. The lender's own page opens, for example Apply with Halifax, Apply with Nationwide or Apply with followed by the lender's name. Complete any lender-specific questions. Smartr365 checks that every field the lender needs has been completed and shows you any missing fields before the submission can go ahead.

  4. Tick any declaration shown, then submit using the lender's submit button. The button label varies by lender; where a lender has a guide below, the guide names it.

  5. The result appears on the lender's page once the lender responds. Earlier submissions for the case are listed under Result History, or Application History for Nationwide.
