When an adviser or client selects ‘Yes’ to ‘Has the applicant been known by any other name?’, an additional field will appear prompting for the ‘Please enter name change date’.

  • Validation Rules:

  • The entered date must be a valid calendar date.

  • The date must not be in the future.

Council Tax Field Update – Label, Logic & Guidance Enhancements

Summary:
We have improved the handling of Council Tax input within the Smartr365 fact find to ensure better clarity, consistency, and data compatibility across the platform.

1. Field Label Change:

  • Old Label: "Annual Council Tax"

  • New Label:"Council Tax"

  • This label update is reflected consistently across the:

  • Adviser Portal

  • Client Portal

  • Fact Find PDF

2. Field Guidance Added (Adviser Portal):

  • When viewing the Council Tax field under Expenditure, users will now see the following guidance text displayed beneath the field:

"This field represents Council Tax paid where the client is renting. If Council Tax relates to a mortgage or renting situation, enter it under the Mortgages or Expenditure section."

  • The original acceptance criteria related to tooltip payment plan explanations has been superseded by this new guidance approach.

3. Data Migration and Default Frequency Logic:

  • All historical data in the previous “Annual Council Tax” field has been migrated to the new “Council Tax (Renting)” field.

  • The values have been converted from annual to monthly format by dividing by 12.

4. Compatibility Backfill Logic:

  • To support legacy dependencies, any new monthly Council Tax values entered into the new field will be:

  • Multiplied by 12,

  • And automatically backfilled into the old “Annual Council Tax” field.
