We’re excited to introduce natural language search for your case list, no need to click through filters or memorise dropdowns. Just type what you’re looking for in plain English, and we’ll do the rest.

Email History in Smartr
You can now view all your sent and received emails directly in Smartr, making it easier to track communications and confirm delivery.
New Email History tab – Access from the Smartr cases or case summary page to see your email activity.
Full record of communications – View emails sent from Smartr and replies received from recipients.
Clear organisation – Emails are displayed with subject, date/time, and recipients, sorted by most recent first.
Sent vs reply distinction – Easily see which messages are your sent emails and which are replies.
Unread message highlighting – Replies you haven’t opened yet appear with a light blue background and a new message notification.
View message details – Click any email to open its full content in a modal for quick review.
This update ensures you always have a clear, up-to-date record of your Smartr communications – without needing to leave the platform.
Data Export Options for System Admin’s
Exporting your data is now more flexible and tailored to your needs.
Choose your export style – You can now pick between:
All Fields – Export all available fields for your current dataset.
Visible Fields – Export only the columns currently shown in your customised table view.
Filters & sort preserved – Your export will match exactly what you’re viewing, including any filters or sorting you’ve applied.
Faster downloads – For datasets with 250 records or fewer, your file downloads instantly with a confirmation toast.
New process for larger datasets – For more than 250 records, a quick message lets you know the export is being prepared in the background. You’ll receive a notification when it’s ready, with a direct link to Settings > Data Export to download it.
This update removes the frustration of irrelevant fields and static exports, giving you more control over the data you take away from the platform.
Easier-to-Read Workflow Screen
We’ve redesigned the Workflow screen to make managing your pipeline simpler and faster.
Modern column layout – Cases are now displayed in a cleaner, more organised style, making it easier to scan and find what you need.
Simplified cards – Key details are presented more clearly, reducing visual clutter and improving readability.
Joint applicants in one card – Linked applications are now grouped together, so you can instantly see related cases without extra searching.
These updates mean less scrolling, less cognitive load, and more focus on progressing your cases.
Owned Properties Added Automatically
We’ve made it quicker and easier to record property ownership in the fact find.
Automatic property creation – If you set your residential status to Owner and tick the “Current residential address” box, your home will now be added automatically to the Existing Properties section.
Pre-filled details – The property record will be populated with your address, date of ownership, and marked as your primary home.
No more duplicates – The system will prevent duplicate entries for the same property, even if added multiple times or across applicants.
Joint applications supported – For joint cases, matching addresses will be stored as a shared property for both applicants.
Seamless adviser & client entry – Works whether details are entered by you or your client.
Linked updates – Any edits or removals in Existing Properties will also update your Address History.
Arrangement Fee Now Shown Earlier
When reviewing mortgage products, you’ll now see the Arrangement Fee directly on the Product Details Card – before you add the product to a case.
This means you can confirm the fee amount upfront, helping you choose the right product and avoid surprises later in the process.
Visa Questions Now Smarter
We’ve made nationality and visa questions more relevant.
If you select United Kingdom as your nationality, visa questions will no longer appear.
If you choose a nationality other than United Kingdom, the visa questions will automatically be shown.
Changing your nationality back to United Kingdom will hide the visa questions and clear any answers you’ve given.
This means you’ll only be asked for details that apply to you – making the form quicker and simpler to complete.
