Release Note 24/02/26

Updated this week

Homebuyer Authentication & Onboarding β€” New Login Journey

Based on feedback where some customers have been facing intermittent issues logging in to their Homebuyer app, we have made some updates to the log in experience, replacing the previous magic link email flow with username and password login.

What's changed

  • Existing users who had a magic link account will need to use the Forgot Password journey to set a password for the first time. The Forgot Password journey will email the user a passcode, which when verified allows them to set up a password to use for all future log in attempts.

  • New users can self-register via Sign Up, with email verification required before account creation.

  • On first login, new users are guided through an onboarding flow covering: accepting company acknowledgement documents, and verifying their mobile phone number via SMS before reaching their dashboard.

  • Users will no longer be required to set up a 4 digit passcode to access their dashboard.

  • Advisors do not need to re-send any invitations. As long as the Homebuyer has been invited at least once they will be able to access the platform.

Document Upload & Classification - Document Store

We've made some improvements to the Document Upload functionality between Homebuyer app and Advisor Portal.

What's changed

  • When a user uploads a document via Homebuyer, we will now clearly show them the status of that upload.

  • When a homebuyer uploads their documents, we have improved the level of classification for when it lands in the Document Store. Documents will get standardised naming clearly showing who submitted the document, and they will be automatically categorised. Any document that we can't identify will be classified in the 'Other' folder.

  • Password protected documents will not be allowed to be uploaded. The homebuyer will see an error message asking them to upload a non-protected document.

Occupation Dropdown - Fact Find

We've improved the 'Job Title' section of the fact find. Now, advisors will be able to choose from an extensive dropdown when selecting a homebuyers occupation. If the job title is not in this list, the Occupation can be set to 'Other', allowing a free text field to appear to complete the job title. Any pre-existing job title entries that do not match the occupation dropdown will be visible in the Job Title field, providing the Occupation is set to 'Other'

Current Employment Improvements - Fact Find

Customers made us aware of issues with the Current Employment section of the Homebuyer fact find, where data was not correctly coming into the advisor portal. We've now deployed some fixes that should ensure that fields completed by Homebuyer users will now save even if the user temporarily leaves this section, and pull through to the advisor portal once the Homebuyer user has clicked 'Complete' for this section.
