Yoti — Third-party identity verification
Brokers can now request an identity check from someone who isn't an applicant on the case — typically a gift-deposit donor or a solicitor.
A new Invite third party button and modal lets you capture the person's name and email and send an invitation directly.
The third party receives an email explaining who asked, why, and how to complete the check — they finish it through Yoti in a few minutes, with no account or app required.
Their verified ID documents are stored in the case document store against the applicant they're supporting.
A verification history table shows the status of each third-party check, with a Resend option.
To use it: open the case, go to the applicant's identity verification section, and choose Invite third party — enter the person's name and email, and we'll send them the request.
Case filters improvements
The Cases page has been reworked to make searching and filtering clearer and more predictable.
Search now works independently of your filters. Previously a keyword search was constrained by whatever dropdown filters were active, so you couldn't find a case that fell outside your current selections. Search now looks across every case.
Redesigned Cases page layout with clearly separated section cards — choose a product type, then either apply filters or search for a client — plus an updated, full-width search bar.
Your filters are restored when you clear a search, so you no longer have to re-apply them manually. Also fixes an NPW ("Show NPW Cases") filter regression where NPW cases could appear regardless of the checkbox setting.
To use it: go to the Cases page, choose a product type, then either set your filters or type a client's name to search. When you clear the search, your filters return as they were.
Annual Protection Reminder email
A new automated email that prompts a client to review their protection cover around 12 months after their first protection benefit goes on risk, with the adviser CC'd. It recurs annually and rolls forward to the client's most recent cover, and the email content is editable by the firm in Campaigns.
To manage it: a System Administrator can turn it on or off under Settings → Email Reminders, and edit the wording in Campaigns. This feature is defaulted to OFF.
Missed Opportunities email
A new automated email targeting clients who hold a mortgage but have no protection cover on risk, encouraging a protection conversation. The adviser is CC'd and an adviser task to contact the client is created when the email sends. The send is re-checked at the point of dispatch, so if qualifying cover is added during the delay window the email is cancelled.
To manage it: a System Administrator sets this up in Settings - turning it on or off and choosing when it sends (which case status starts the countdown, and how many months later). This feature is defaulted to OFF.
Automated emails are now spaced out
Clients no longer receive several automated emails at once. When a higher-priority automated email is already due to reach a client within a set window (30 days by default), a lower-priority one is automatically held back and sent a little later instead, so the messages don't land together. The priority order is Remortgage first, then Missed Opportunity, then the Annual Protection Reminder — and this now works across joint cases too, so one applicant's Annual reminder is held back if their co-applicant is due a Missed Opportunity email. Nothing is skipped: a held-back email still goes out once the window is clear. Automated client emails now also go out mid-morning rather than in the early hours, so they arrive at a more sensible time.
Nothing to set up: this happens automatically in the background.
Protection — Solution Builder existing-case picker (joint cases)
Fixed an issue where, on a joint protection case, filling Demands & Needs for only one of the two applicants and clicking Save & Quote caused the "Which case would you like to quote for?" picker to wrongly report no existing cases — forcing the adviser to create a duplicate case. The existing joint case is now listed correctly so the Solution Builder quote can be attached to it.
Reporting - Marketing Preferences
The Marketing Preferences export works again and now handles all client names correctly. To use it: go to Settings → Data Export, select Marketing Preferences, and click Create New Export — your file will generate and be ready to download.
