What is sharing the fact find?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Sharing the fact find is a feature for joint applications that allows both applicants to view each other's fact find information, documents, and product details through the client portal.

How does it work?

On joint application cases (with two or more applicants), a Share All Info toggle appears in the top-right corner of the fact find. When enabled:

  • Each applicant can see the other applicant's fact find data, uploaded documents, and current/completed product information on the client portal.

  • Either applicant can fill in fact find sections on behalf of the other, making it quicker to complete the application.

When does the toggle appear?

The Share All Info toggle is only shown when:

  • The case has more than one applicant.

  • The product type is Mortgages, Life, or Buildings and Contents.

Linking and unlinking applicants

Toggling Share All Info on will link the applicants, and you will see a confirmation message. Toggling it off will unlink them, meaning each applicant can only see their own information again.

Things to note

  • The toggle may be disabled if the applicants on the case do not match the linked partner records. In this situation, both applicants must be present on the same case for sharing to be available.

  • Sharing is designed for transparency in joint applications and can help reduce duplicate data entry for couples applying together.
