How to Configure Openwork Integration

Guide for setting up the Openwork network integration, including adviser registration and firm configuration.

Overview

The Openwork integration connects Smartr365 to the Openwork financial adviser network, enabling case submissions and data synchronisation between the two platforms.

Note: This integration is only available for firms within the Openwork or JMD networks.

Before You Start

  • Your firm must be a member of the Openwork or JMD network

  • A System Admin must complete the firm-level registration

  • Each adviser must have their Openwork Adviser UID

Firm-Level Setup (System Admin)

  1. Navigate to Settings > Openwork

  2. Enter your Openwork Firm ID

  3. The system will map your firm's Smartr365 Brokerage ID to the Openwork Firm ID

  4. Save the configuration

Openwork Adviser UID

Settings > Third Party Credentials > Openwork

Unique identifier from your Openwork account. The system validates the UID before saving

Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings > Third Party Credentials > Openwork

  2. Enter your Openwork Adviser UID

  3. Click Save β€” the system will validate the UID against Openwork's API

  4. If valid, the UID is stored and you can begin submitting cases

Submitting Cases

Once configured, case data can be submitted to Openwork. The following data is sent:

  • Case type (Mortgage, Protection, etc.)

  • Adviser ID

  • Product/case details

Solution

Openwork settings not visible

This option only appears for Openwork/JMD network firms. Check the Openwork feature flag is enabled

Adviser UID rejected on save

Verify the UID is correct in your Openwork account

Case submission fails

Ensure the case has complete applicant and mortgage data
