The Remortgage opportunities report lists clients who are due a remortgage, with everything you need to get in touch. It's ready-made, so there's nothing to build.
Open the report
Open Reporting. It opens on Browse reports.
In the Pipeline group, click Remortgage opportunities, or type "remortgage" in Search reports….
What's in it
One row per remortgage case, with:
Client name, Joint applicant name and Client email
Adviser and Lender
Remortgage contact — date and Remortgage — date
Remortgage date — taken from — whether the remortgage date comes from this case or the original completed mortgage, which it names by case number, for example Original case #17. When a mortgage completes, the remortgage date stays on the original case, so the report uses it when the new case has none.
Other open remortgage cases for this client — how many other open remortgage cases the same client has at your firm. See A client appears more than once below.
Months to remortgage and Days to rate expiry
Workflow status — where the case is now
Mortgage case ID, Total mortgage value and Total proc fee (product commission)
It already leaves out cases that are completed or not proceeding.
Choose the period
The report counts by remortgage contact date. Use the date picker at the top:
This month, Last 3 months and so on for a set period, or
Custom range with From and To dates. For example, choose today and a date six months ahead to see who's coming up.
Narrow it down or change the columns
To keep a version with your own filters or columns, click Customise first, then in the editor:
add an Adviser filter for one adviser's clients,
add or remove columns in the Columns list,
choose a dashboard in Add to and click Add to dashboard.
Work through the list
Click a column heading to sort, for example by Days to rate expiry.
Click a row to open that case in a new tab.
Click CSV or Excel to download every row. See Export reports to CSV and Excel.
A client appears more than once
Each row is a separate open remortgage case. The report never merges or hides them. When a client has more than one, Other open remortgage cases for this client shows how many others there are, so two rows for the same client both show 1.
Often one of them is a case that was never closed off after the deal went through on another case. Sometimes they are genuinely separate mortgages, for example on two properties. Open each case to check, and close or mark as not proceeding any that are finished. The count updates after the next data refresh.
The count covers the whole firm and every date. The other case may be outside the period you've chosen or, if you're an adviser, with another adviser.
Nothing shows, or fewer rows than expected
Widen the period. Once you choose a period, cases without a remortgage contact date don't appear; All time includes them.
If you're an adviser, the report shows your own clients only.
Check Data to under the report name; recent changes appear after the next refresh. See How up to date is Reporting?.
